This page describes the requirements and supported ways to integrate merchants or storefronts into the catalog for store sync.
Important: To access and use store sync, including the product feed integration, merchants must complete this form to contact the AI team at PayPal and request access.

Requirements for a product catalog

Your platform needs to provide essential data components to enable product discovery and merchant management in store sync. These components ensure that AI agents find and understand your inventory. They also facilitate seamless transactions across your entire network. Provide your product catalog in Google Shopping CSV format. In this file, include all relevant product attributes, such as the ones in the following table.
AttributeDescriptionExample
idUnique identifier for the product. This attribute refers to the variantID on your platform.A2B4
item_group_idIdentifier for the group that includes this product within your product catalog. This attribute refers to the parentID on your platform. If this attribute does not exist in the product catalog file, PayPal ingests products as single-variant products.54321

Supported feed ingestion methods

PayPal supports different ingestion methods for fetching product catalogs from merchants. Choose the approach that aligns with your infrastructure and security requirements.

Your SFTP/FTP server

  • Host the files on your SFTP/FTP server.
  • Share your access credentials and path details with your PayPal account representative or designated point of contact.
  • Update the files on a regular basis.

Direct URL

  • Host product catalog directly on a publicly accessible or allowlisted URL.
  • File URLs must follow a consistent naming scheme, such as https://merchantsite.com/product_feed.csv.
  • Ensure that files are accessible using HTTPS.

Next steps

To finish integrating your product catalog with PayPal’s agentic commerce services, complete these remaining steps:
  1. Choose and confirm the ingestion method that you will use.
  2. Share access details (credentials, service account IDs, URLs, and so on) with PayPal’s onboarding team.
  3. Provide a sample product catalog for validation.
  4. Coordinate a test ingestion run with PayPal’s engineering team.
When your catalog is successfully ingested, continue by setting up your API.
