Use the Payment Links and Buttons dashboard to build flexible purchase experiences while configuring pricing, variants, taxes, inventory behavior, and alerts to fit your platform’s needs.

Prerequisites

  1. Log in to your PayPal Business Account.
  2. From the navigation menu, select Pay & Get Paid > Create Payment Links and Buttons or Create Shopping Cart Buttons.

Manage inventory

Keep product quantities accurate with inventory tracking and alerts.
  1. Log in to your PayPal business account.
  2. From the left navigation, select Sales > Payment Links and Buttons.
  3. Set the maximum number of units a customer can purchase in a single transaction in the Quantity field. This setting only applies when you use the One set price pricing option, and is useful when you want to limit bulk purchases.
  4. Enter Item ID, Quantity in stock, and Alert quantity to receive email notifications when inventory is low or out of stock.
  5. Choose whether customers can purchase out-of-stock items.

Variants

Variants let you offer up to three variations per item, such as color, size, or type.
  1. In the dashboard, select Show more options and turn on Variants.
  2. Enter a variant name, and list up to 10 options for that variant.
  3. Add images and prices for your item’s primary variant.
  4. To price each option individually, select Add price per variant.

Taxes, discounts, and fees

Use the Checkout tab to configure taxes, discounts, and fees for each item so customers see accurate pricing during checkout.

Shipping feeSet the shipping fee for this item, including free shipping.In the Checkout tab, turn on the Shipping fee, choose a setting from the Shipping fee dropdown, and enter the fee amount.
